The people are very friendly despite not understanding each other with the language. They were always very kind. Hearty dishes. Good weather.

Quaint Bavarian tavern with hearty regional dishes. Good location in the center, which is also reflected in the prices. But if you are looking for the rustic atmosphere, you are not wrong here.

Unfortunately we weren't really noticed, as we probably said no when asked if we wanted to eat something. Even after we paid for our drinks, we were given as much change as possible as change. Customer service looks different for us, we will soon avoid this shop and go to much friendlier competition.

Zum Spöckmeier is a good address. The food is delicious and the waiters friendly. I like to go there.

We were here for the first time on this visit to Munich and we were really impressed. We especially liked to sit in the front part and would be served very friendly. We liked the fact that there was a little background music. The Hacker Pschorr was cold and tasty and the veal sausages were first class for us.

The food is really very good and the portions are more than adequate. Friendly service and a nice atmosphere. Another plus point is the in-house butcher's shop.

Unfriendly staff. We wanted to eat and drink something here but the “welcome” made us turn around and go elsewhere.

Food was very good and plentiful. Eaten designated, noticeably homemade aspic, wonderful. Snack platter, rich and good. 3 stars unfortunately only because of the service. Not really bad, rude but not good either. Despite the moderate occupancy of the tables.

The waiters weren't rude, but they weren't really nice either. You had the feeling of not being welcome all the time. The beer was good (like everywhere in Bavaria). We ordered white sausage and a dumpling in sauce for dinner. The sausage was really delicious, but quite small and we were not offered or recommended any mustard. The dumpling was tiny with very little sauce and cost 5.50 euros. The toilet is on the 1st floor and was very clean. I was only a little surprised that there was a cleaner with a tip bowl. Sufficient for a beer, meat seems to be good too, but it stops after that. You probably have to know exactly what you can order here. Not recommended for me with the neutral service and the prices for dumplings.

Excellent food and the worst service received in 4 days no sul da Alemanha. Rude and impatient waiter, with answers like "we have what's on the menu". Note: menu in German only.

The food tasted good. Point deduction, because the high chair was not clean, unfortunately we had to clean it ourselves. The menu on the cell phone is great, although it takes a little getting used to. Service was friendly. Thorough cleanliness should be very important nowadays!

Great food and an incredibly nice waitress who was up for every fun. The requirements were implemented great and uncomplicated. The food was fresh and delicious! We would love to come back here.

Food, beer good prices quite high, but this is the center. A complicated card for a foreigner even with English translation. I am a bit surprised that even when there is a restaurant full of people, people who buy only beer must sit at the bar on uncomfortable chairs, but as I noticed it is so in every restaurant / bar. Busy little bar situated right in the middle of Marienplatz. The lady who served us was absolutely wonderful! Shame I didn't get her name! Would go here again next time.

Visited On : Jan 13th Monday 2020 Time : 7pm Crowd : Medium crowded. Request you to pre-book it as the restaurant has a good demand. Ambiance : Amazing view of the Marienplatz. Parking : No parking area. Restrooms : You have to pay for the restrooms ( Tips) and it is not is the same floor at the restaurant. Food : Amazing Bavarian cusine. Please do not forget to try the Apple Strudel! Hospitality : 4/5 Warm people.

The restaurant is about 100m south of Marienplatz so the location is excellent. It had a nice German ambience, but the prices were relatively high for what you get. I had a schnitzel with fried potatoes, a beer and a strudel. The beer was good and the food was decent but the portions were less than typical for a German restaurant. Overall I would say I got less than I have come to expect from German restaurants but I figure that had something to do with the prime location. If you are touring around Munich and are near Marienplatz, this would be a good place to go as long as you are prepared to pay a premium for the convenience of the location.

The waiter was rude and was asking for the tip. Restaurant with nothing special to offer.

Lovely restaurant with cozy and intimate setting. A decent variety of Paulaner beers and extensive menu. The appetizers were light and perfect for two people, with lovely presentation. Service here is very understated, so don't expect your server to speak much or check on you. I think our server said one thing the entire time we were there, and it was "auf wiedersehen". They are always available and attentive though, so don't be afraid to summon them when ready to order or if you need anything. You will need to take charge.

The birthplace of Munich specialty white sausage. When I visited a little before noon, I was able to sit down immediately. After lunch, it gradually became full of people. The stylish interior will delight your eyes, and the excellent white sausage that goes well with food will go well with Paulana. The pretzel on the table is charged only for what you eat, so don't leave it unattended.

Very rude staff, too expensive. Even if you buy your drink downstairs, they don’t let you sit upstairs without ordering something else from upstairs’ waiters... they said that is the rule. Never coking here again for sure.

Great food and atmosphere

If you want to have the best food expert in town you can't miss it!

Worst service in town. No desserts or hot drinks after 10pm. From 11:15 onwards they asked us multiple times to leave despite of the fact that the place closes at 11:30 and we hadn’t finished our beers yet. Never again.

Staff are quick to attend, drinks came in less than 3 minutes, food was excellent! I had their Ox Burger and it was the best beef burger I had so far. Staff are friendly and very attentive.

Nice interior but service doesn’t exist at all Waited for an hour and didn’t get my order

Our server ruined our Christmas Eve dinner. We were party of 5 on the second floor with some locals and overseas friends visiting. First, she was very rude! On Christmas Eve! Second of all, she brought wrong entrees to 3 out of 5 people. And she brought us most expensive 36€ stakes that we didn’t order. 2 people kept it because she insisted. Stakes were rare, my husband and 15 years old sister could barely eat it them . And since she didn’t check on the table for entire night we couldn’t tell her to take them back and cook them through. As for me, I insisted on getting my correct entree -schnitzel- which she wasn’t happy about. I had to wait for my dish another 10 min and was sitting and waiting while everyone else was eating. Guest from the table next to us later came to us and told us she mixed up their food too and they were charged for our orders instead of theirs and told us to be mindful about our bills. In the end our sever had to come 3 times to our table and asked us several times what everyone was eating and drinking, like we have to count and remember?? Bills were high, food was fine but all this mix up and negative attitude brought a lot of bitterness to our celebration☹️ Don’t go

Nice food, nice service, nice beer - What more could you ask for?

Very central bar, with a great variety of beers from Weise to larger to dark beer. The bar is massive, very traditional feeling once you walk in and the service is very fast. They don't do much customer contact, because of the speed of the service, but the service is fast and acquire, it won't take 5 minutes for you to have a beer in front of you.
